Through the gaze, unspoken emotions find their purist voice.

From an eastern, more reserved perspective, this project aims to highlight the ambiguity in the relationship between lovers, especially those of whom must remain silent.

Referencing Wong Kar-wai's movie "In the Mood For Love", with a combination of denim attires as the main archetypes, through dissecting traditional Asian garments, this project highlights the ways in which people communicate love without the use of verbal language.

First hand research was conducted with the intention to document people's physical interactions' impact on the clothing they wear. A traditional Chinese garment was enlarged and served as the outer layer that completely covers the movements of the two people under.

Elements of twisting, displacing and cinching were extracted from the experiment, symbolizing the secret language that lovers create for each other.
